Peter Naish

Peter Naish is Exclusive Media’s Senior Vice-President of Distribution. He joined the Hammer team in Aug 2008, before which he was the Managing Director responsible for the International Sales and Marketing operations at Capitol Films in London.

From 2004 to 2007, Peter was Head of International Distribution at Icon Entertainment International, were he reorganized and managed the international sales operations and had specific sales responsibilities for all major territories. He was also responsible for the worldwide theatrical marketing plans of Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto and worldwide video and television distribution of The Passion of the Christ.

Prior to this Peter was a Partner in the specialist film consultant Bridge Media, where he advised on strategic and business plans, library acquisitions and flotations. During this time Peter was part of the team that acquired Hammer Film Productions from Roy Skeggs. After this acquisition Peter’s role at Hammer was to reorganize the catalogue, establish systems to manage the company’s rights and license these rights to distributors worldwide. Other notable projects at Bridge Media included preparing the business plan and prospectus for Intermedia's Neuer Markt IPO; the appraisal of the Largo library for Intermedia; a strategic plan for Film Four and local language production business plans for Warner Bros.

Peter’s career in film began in 1992 when he became Finance Director at UK distributor First Independent Films, becoming Managing Director in 1994, where he managed the UK theatrical, video and television operations. He worked on notable releases including Dumb and Dumber, Misery, City Slickers, G.I. Jane and The Lawnmower Man. The company had a production and development deal with Ridley Scott and a Pay TV output deal with BSkyB, both negotiated by Peter.
