Alex Brunner
Alex Brunner is Exclusive Media’s Deputy Chief Operating Officer. He was previously Exclusive Media Group’s Co- President of the International Sales arm, and before that its Senior Vice President of Production & Operations. Brunner joined East and Sinclair over ten years ago and played a pivotal role in the 2003 to form Exclusive’s Spitfire Pictures label, where Brunner helped build a full slate of film projects as the key development and production executive. In 2005, Brunner was the production executive on the critically acclaimed No Direction Home: Bob Dylan directed by Martin Scorsese which Spitfire released. In the years that followed that, Brunner served as a producer on Matt Reeves’ Let Me In, as an executive producer on the Hilary Swank starrer The Resident and as a co-executive producer on Peter Weir’s The Way Back. Brunner recently executive produced the Grammy Award winning Foo Fighters rock doc Foo Fighters: Back And Forth.
Prior to joining Spitfire, Brunner worked at Intermedia Films under Sinclair who was then the company’s Co-Chairman. At the time, Intermedia was one of the world’s leading independent producers and distributors of major motion pictures, responsible for hits such as The Wedding Planner starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey; K-PAX starring Kevin Spacey; Adaptation starring Nicholas Cage and Meryl Streep; and Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. Prior to Intermedia Films, Brunner trained under an agent at International Creative Management (ICM) for two years, working in both the motion picture literary and production departments of the firm.
Before ICM, Brunner worked for Hong Kong’s largest movie studio, Golden Harvest Films, working on productions such as Jackie Chan’s First Strike and Super Cop as well as project managing the development of a new studio facility in Hong Kong.
