Synopsis

Disconnect interweaves three emotional potboilers about people searching for
human connection in today’s wired world of the internet.

We meet an array of unforgettable characters: A strained couple dealing with
infertility rediscover their spark when they go on a vigilante mission to recover the
money they lose when their identities are stolen. A widowed ex-cop struggles to
raise a mischievous son who cyber-bullies a fellow classmate. Two loving parents
wrestle with the attempted suicide of their highly introverted but musically gifted
son. An ambitious TV reporter convinces a teenager from an adult-only webcam site
to become the subject of her story only to put his life and her career at risk.

By turns comic, harrowing and touching, Disconnect explores the consequences
of living life everywhere but right here.
